About Us
Based in Richmond, Virginia, Persistent Vision is a DIY record label focused on new releases and reissues of out of print classic records from bands we love. We are passionate about the music and the artwork, and take care in curating releases with thoughtful art and high quality packaging and vinyl. 

Persistent Vision is a part time labor of love, done in our spare time while juggling day jobs, bands, family, and other responsibilities. We try our best to respond to emails in a timely manner and get orders shipped out as quickly as we can. 

We put on an annual label-adjacent music festival in Richmond called Dark Days Bright Nights. This will take place for its third year on September 25-27, 2026 at Studio Two Three. More details are available on our Instagram page.

Ordering Info
For questions about an order, please email persistentvisionrecords@gmail.com and include your order number in the subject.

We typically ship out orders one, sometimes two days a week, so orders for in-stock items usually ship within 5-7 days, though it can take longer sometimes. Our shipping options include USPS and UPS, which you can choose from during the checkout process. Customers will receive an email with tracking information when their order ships. If your order includes a T-shirt, please DO NOT select USPS Media Mail as your shipping option. This can only be used for records and cassettes. 

Disclaimer: USPS Media Mail handling has not been particularly kind to vinyl record shipping in recent years, so please keep this in mind when choosing your shipping option. If you can afford the upgrade in cost to USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground, we would recommend it. 

If you placed a preorder, it will ship on or around the estimated ship date listed on the release page. If you ordered multiple pre-order items, please keep in mind that it will ship together in the same package when every item from your order is ready to ship. Keep an eye on our social media accounts and newsletter for updates or delays affecting the shipping date for preorders.

Shipping Insurance & Damaged Orders
We now offer a third party shipping protection called Guide which can be added to your order at checkout for less than a dollar. This is a great way to insure your order in case of shipping damage, a lost package or theft. 

If you purchased shipping protection and your order was damaged or lost in shipping, please file a claim through Guide. You will need your email address and order number in order to submit a claim. 

We are not able to offer replacements or refunds for orders that choose not to add the Guide shipping insurance.

Refunds & Cancellations Policy
Changing your mind shortly after a purchase and requesting a refund/cancellation can cause multiple issues for small businesses like ours. If you cannot be dissuaded, please note that you will be subject to a cancellation fee of 5% of the total order value to cover Shopify's non-refundable credit card and payment processing fees. Please understand that we can’t be expected to lose money as a result of a customer changing their mind after placing an order. This policy also applies to pre-orders.

We will of course refund all fees in the event of us overselling an item, if we ship you the wrong item, or a faulty/defective product which cannot be replaced. We package our records with great care and promise to work out a solution if anything arrives seriously damaged, but please do not request a full refund for something minor, such as a tiny corner ding or a single pop/skip etc.

If you wish to proceed with a cancellation request, please email us, and let us know your order number and the reason for requesting a refund.

International Orders
We offer shipping to most countries outside the US. However, due to excessive shipping costs out of our control, ordering from outside the US can be quite costly. For overseas customers, please consider ordering our releases from one of these shops to save money:

Distribution & Wholesale
Do you have a store or distro and want to carry our releases? Please contact us via email at persistentvisionrecords@gmail.com for wholesale prices and ordering information. We have low minimums and like to work directly with stores and distros whenever possible. 

We are distributed through Deathwish Direct. Some of our releases are also available from RevHQ and Ebullition.
