“Dissimulation”, the long awaited new full length from Richmond, Virginia’s .gif from god.

.gif from god has defied easy categorization since their inception in 2015. Blending various elements of hardcore punk and extreme metal, including metalcore, screamo, and grindcore, the unit has solidified its place in the underground music scene over the past decade. The six-piece machine cemented their lineup in 2017, including two stand-alone vocalists, resulting in maximum insanity and catharsis during their live shows.

On their third LP, “Dissimulation”, .gif from god has honed their chaotic craft into a laser-focused sonic blast that slips in like a blade and hits like a truck. Working again with past collaborator Matt Michel (No Man, Majority Rule) at the legendary Viva Studios, they’ve exceeded the limits of their previous work while creating a record that is still deeply rooted in the storied Virginia punk scene that precedes them. Dissimulation explores the unseen, otherworldly senses within us that are indescribable and horrific to face. Spiraling paranoid fantasies that lure you deeper into the cosmic abyss.

“Dissimulation” was produced by the band, engineered and mixed by Matt Michel, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.

LP comes packaged with printed jacket, lyric sheet and OBI strip. The CD comes in a fluorescent pink or yellow tinted jewel case with OBI strip. Cassette comes with printed j-card and two color options.
